With over 20 years of experience in human resources, talent management, and people operations, Charles is an equity-centered leader and a strategic partner in the Nonprofit and Philanthropy sectors.

He is the Chief Talent Officer at the California Health Care Foundation (CHCF), an independent, nonprofit philanthropy that works to improve the health care system for all Californians, especially those with low incomes and facing the greatest barriers to care. Charles leads the executive and operational leadership of human resources and talent management at CHCF, developing strategies for staff engagement and development, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). He also spearheads the foundation's internal strategy on DEIB, creating a culture of inclusion and belonging for all staff and stakeholders.

Additionally, Charles is a passionate advocate for social responsibility and volunteering, serving as a Board Member for NAMISF, SFCASA and Project Optimism. He is also an accomplished leadership and personal growth coach, empowering individuals and organizations to reach their full potential and excel in their pursuits.

Charles holds the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications, as well as a MBA and a BS in Business Administration. He is certified in delivering and assessing many of the best in class personality and behavioral assessments for both individuals and groups.
